Brave • kind • spirited
She was unstoppable, not because she didn't have failures or doubts, but because she continued on despite of them. - Beau Taplin
Female deer x dog
Happy-go-lucky and always with a smile, it's often assumed that Elora is never sad ... at least, if she didn't avoid almost everyone else that would be assumed. As a forest guardian, she has been trained by the elder forest guardians to avoid mortal dogs as much as possible. Unlike her fellow forest guardian and best friend, Beige, she is quite content to follow this way of life and prefers the company of the floral and fauna over anything the mortals could possibly offer her. Of course, her kindness should never be mistaken for weakness or naivety. This girl has more than her share of bravery and determination - willing to die (or even kill) to protect her forest and those she loves.

Favorite Color: Sky blue
- Her collar is a gift from Beige (who loves mortals and is constantly sneaking off to watch them). He heard the chime of the bell and thought of her. She was too polite to tell him that she doesn't like mortal trappings ... and now she thinks it's kind of cute.

History
Elora was born to two minor forest spirits who were content to flit around their safe glade while the forest guardians protected not only the glade but the forests around the world as well. Although she loved her parents deeply, Elora often found herself frustrated with them and their constant attempts to keep her as far from the world - and danger - as possible. She wanted to do something worthwhile with her life ... and she wanted to be a guardian. Once a year, several guardians would return to the glade in order to train new students and Elora would go out of her way to watch them. As soon as she was old enough, she expressed her wish to join in the training ... and was promptly shut down by her parents.
Of course, that wasn't enough to stop her and she secretly tried out for the guardians. After several days of working harder than she ever had before and pushing herself to her limits, she was dropped from the class for lacking the necessary skills. Disappointed but not ready to give up on her dreams, she spent the whole next year pushing herself harder and honing her skills. The next year she once more joined the class and this time managed to make it several weeks before being cut - being the child of minor forest spirits instead of forest guardians/ex-forest guardians meant that she lacked the natural talent that they had. To her that only meant that she had to work harder and so she spent another year training.
This time, she made it through training, graduating third in her class and was the first one in a century to become a guardian without having any forest guardians in her lineage. She was ecstatic ... until she had to tell her parents, of course. They were angry, hurt, and scared. They begged her to stay and her convictions wavered for just a moment with their tear-filled pleas before she remembered that this was her dreams and she wouldn't let anyone - not even her parents - stand in her way. With a bright grin that had already become characteristic of her, she promised them that she would be okay and that she would come visit whenever she could.
She wouldn't be able to make good on her promise for over a year during which she was taken under the wing of her mentor and kept on a rapid schedule. She traveled over several continents, meeting guardians stationed around the world and learning more than she ever thought possible. She was a willing student, lapping up the knowledge presented to her like she was drowning and it was a lifeline. Not only was she willing but everyone was always happy to meet her - her general excitable attitude infectious.
When she finally did return to the glade, it was with a self-assured dignity that she had previous lacked as well as orders to report to her very own forest a week later. Her parents were once again tearful ... but this time there was pride mixed with their apprehension and they willingly let her leave a week later to take her well earned place among the guardians.
For years she protected her forest, wandering through the hills and gullies and taking care of the wildlife who lived there. Then one day, a fire was started by some careless mortals. Several other nearby guardians rushed to her aid in putting out the flames but even still they burned for three days, wiping out foliage and costing more than one creature their lives. It was afterwards that she met Beige who - despite being quite a bit younger than her - would quickly become her best friend even with their differing opinions on the worth of mortal dogs.

Her role
Elora continues to guard her forest, occasionally meeting up with Beige for some entertainment. She has little to no patience for mortals but is willing to indulge Beige as he babbles on about them. Most days she can be found prancing through the forest, tending to the wildlife and plants that called her forest their home.
